Independent Futures

Independent Futures is our Supported Living service at Sunderland Home Care Associates. We support adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health in their own homes, providing 24-hour care and support across Sunderland and South Tyneside. We support adults to live the life they choose.

The aim of Independent Futures is to provide individuals with a person centred approach to enable them to learn the necessary life skills to ensure greater independence in all areas of their life.

Our staff teams are trained, knowledgeable and passionate about the service giving people the very best experience they can.

People are supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff support them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service support this practice.

Our staff teams share the vision of the service to provide person-centred care and to put people first.

There is a robust programme of ongoing staff training to ensure staff are skilled and competent.
